Came with my family to eat here and the food didn’t disappoint! Ordered a mixture of starters and main along side the yummy ice cream dessert. Everything tasted better than expected. Our fave were the grilled lamb chops and wings. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to our likings. I’ve eat at many afghan places and this by far is the best we’ve been to. Our new favourite spot that’s for sure. We’ve left with our bellies filled with yummy food. Perfect for families gatherings too.

Let’s start with the kebabs, easily some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Perfectly marinated, grilled to juicy perfection, and served with a side of fluffy rice and fresh salad. You can tell there’s real care and tradition in the way they prepare them. Every bite was a reminder of why simple, well-executed food can be so powerful. But the showstopper? The Lamb and Beef Qabuli Pulao. This dish alone is worth a return visit. The meat was fall-apart tender, seasoned just right, and served over a mountain of aromatic rice with sweet carrots and raisins adding a delicate balance. It’s one of those dishes that doesn’t just feed you, it stays with you. The service was equally memorable. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive without being intrusive. It felt like dining at a family-run spot where everyone genuinely cares about your experience. They’re happy to explain the dishes if you’re unfamiliar with Afghan cuisine, and their enthusiasm for what they serve is contagious. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed — nothing flashy, but clean, inviting, and full of warmth. It’s the kind of place where you can come for a casual dinner or bring guests for something special. Found this hidden gem in Southampton, Chapli kebab was amazing,fresh & taste great. Welcoming,friendly service. Only thing I will politely suggest that charsi karahi needs little improvement as we found tomatoes paste was bit overpowering. Overall lovely experience and tasty dessert Sheeryakh. Highly recommend.

No afghan restaurants in Portsmouth so I was visiting Southampton, I had to try this place after the food looked so good from the pictures. I absolutely loved everything I ordered ! The most important thing to me is that it’s all freshly cooked there and then, comes to you hot and ready. As a traveling rock musician and Afghan American, i was so pleased to find this special little spot. I almost when i tasted the food as it reminded me of my mom’s cooking. The vibe, sounds, and smells were perfect. Thank you for doing Afghan cuisine correctly! I’d recommend the palow, mantu, and Dogh!
